An alien 'pseudo-god' and former successor to Darkseid.
Description[]
Mister Miracle is well-built and athletic and wears a red superhero costume with yellow pants and face mask. It also has green gloves, boots, belt, and cape with raised collar. He describes himself as a "master of escape" and acts like a showman, shouting out his name to encourage applause and adulation, but his self-importance and off-handish behaviour can make him reluctant to cooperate with others. Mister Miracle is an adopted son of Darkseid (he is called "Scott" or "Scotty") and a potential ruler of Apokolips, which he says is his "hometown planet", but has chosen to flee to Earth where he earns his living as a stage magician.
He does not appear to have any powers and instead carries a small spherical device (probably technology from Apokolips) which can create a smokescreen or lighting effects to enable him to escape from awkward situations. It is also able to store the part of the Anti-Life Equation that he has stolen from Darkseid. As he is an escapologist, he cannot be kept tied down and he is able to employ sleight of hand to steal things. If he has 'lifted' a 'Mother Box', he can jump around during combat using its 'Boom Tubes' before finally escaping through one.
He tells Darkseid that he has left Apokolips because of favoritism shown to Kalibak but his concerns about Darkseid's plan to rule the universe using the Anti-Life Equation are a more likely reason. Mister Miracle is the boyfriend of Big Barda and, though she doubts his commitment, he is prepared to save her from abduction.
Because he is not initially familiar with Batman and is reluctant to cooperate with him, it is unlikely he is a member of the Justice League.
