A robot-like super-villain and an enemy of Superman.
Description[]
Metallo has the appearance of a robot with a skull-like mask instead of a face. He wears a green suit of hard plates with black and gray decorations, and on his chest is a gray 'M' symbol that can slide away to reveal a compartment with a glowing lump of green kryptonite which may also represent his heart. His eyes also glow green. He speaks menacingly with a deep voice that has a slight metallic tone.
From elsewhere, we know that he has a human brain and possibly a human body underneath the suit which means that he is a 'cyborg'. He is said to be powered by the kryptonite but does not appear to have any special abilities other than to use the kryptonite to weaken Superman so that he can match him in combat.
When he is not on the loose, Metallo can be an inmate of Stryker's Island prison.
