An alien bounty hunter and an enemy of the Justice League.

Description[]

Lobo is tall and muscular with the look of a stereotypical biker. His skin is extremely pale, his eyes are red without pupils and his hair hangs down in long dreadlocks. He wears a short leather jacket, fingerless gloves, knee-length boots, and has a belt with a large image of a skull for a buckle. Speaking in a loud, hoarse voice, he is tough, cynical and self-centered, referring to himself as "the Main Man" and showing a reluctance to cooperate with others. He is said to be a Czarnian (from the planet Czarnia) and is a bounty hunter, pursuing victims, good or bad, to collect a reward. Lobo is not popular with the Justice League, that knows he has done "terrible things" in the past (without further elaboration) and is prepared to see him sent to a prison, remote from the Earth. Cyborg and Hal Jordan in particular consider him to be mere "garbage".

He is extremely strong and can take a great deal of punishment in a fight, even being able to survive blows from Superman and the mace of Hawkman. Lobo gives as good as he gets though, sometimes by resorting to dirty tricks. In combat he can make use of a pair of blasters, but his distinctively unique weapon is a long chain ending in a heavy hook that he twirls over his head before swinging it at an opponent.

It is probably stored in his jacket from where he can also pull a "negative ion grenade" which is used to disable a vehicle. Other specialist weapons are a red sun ray blaster and a kryptonite ray gun both intended to deal with Superman. While acting as a bounty hunter, he makes use of cages, including a kryptonite one, to trap the victims. Lobo also tries to acquire the powerful Spider Gauntlet, which gives him extra powers and considers that it belongs to him, and is prepared to employ deception to obtain it. To enable him to locate such objects, he can have a watch-like instrument strapped to his right wrist. He can be rendered unconscious by extreme g-force but otherwise appears to be invulnerable.

Lobo's only form of transport is his rocket-powered bike that he calls his "space hog", which comes to him when he whistles and about which he frets if it gets scratched.

Lobo01

He can breathe in space, not only when he is on it but also when he is not near it and can use his chain to stay attached to the bike if he falls off.
